Soundstop™ Acoustical Flooring

BA-cored acoustical LVT with an integrated soundmat — STC 61 / IIC 56 / HIIC 68 on a wood assembly with no separate sound mat. The floor multi-family and hospitality specifiers choose when the assembly has to pass acoustical inspection.

STC 61

Airborne sound transmission — voices, TV, music — tested on a wood floor assembly with no separate sound mat.

IIC 56

Impact insulation — footsteps and dropped objects — with the acoustic backing attached directly under the wear layer.

HIIC 68

High-frequency impact — the metric that best predicts the quiet occupants actually perceive.

Headline results: Soundstop Glue Down, no soundmat, wood assembly. The full certified matrix — by report number — is below.

The Technology

Sound Control Built Into the Plank

Soundstop uses a BA-cored construction with an integrated acoustic backing, so the sound-dampening layer is bonded to the plank rather than shipped and installed separately. Painted beveled edges give a finished, monolithic look while the core does the acoustic work.

  • Integrated soundmat — no loose underlayment to source or install
  • Painted beveled edges for a clean, seamless visual
  • Deletes a material and a trade vs. a separate mat below gypsum
  • Commercial-grade wear layer for high-traffic multi-family and hospitality
